Moving Forward: Embracing Change for Real Transformation
We can choose to accept or resist change in our lives, but ultimately we must surrender our resistance and let go of our past in order to create real change. Mid-life can be a time to choose to embrace change or resist it, and by connecting to the present moment and feeling our breath and body, we can gain a sense of relief and be more of our true selves. Life is about accumulating new things and letting go of what doesn’t serve us, and the best life is found when we cooperate with change.
We must learn to turn the page and move on from the past, daring to experience the unknown and leaving our death grip on the past ideas behind. Real change is created when we are willing to let go and move forward confidently, embracing life as it is and where it is going. We can choose to resist or accept change in our lives.
We can choose to move forward from the present moment or drag old desires and disappointments with us. What matters is what is true to us and what gives meaning to us. We can create change in our lives by letting go of our own resistance to change and life.
