Seven Deadly Sins

Summary

Finding unity through kindness, honesty, and connection. Thinking about what these ideas around "undesirable" behaviors have in common, what we can learn when we think about them as a whole.
We all have our own unique journeys of growth and development, and sometimes it can be difficult to witness when an adult is still displaying qualities that should have been left behind in childhood. This is why it’s important to consider the seven deadly sins and the negative reinforcement that can come from them.

The seven sins all have a central theme of self-centeredness, and are destructive and harmful to both ourselves and others. Even in moments of suffering, life always finds a way to lead us back to unity. Thus, it’s important to remind ourselves of the positive reinforcement that life offers, and use it to shift our focus from what we are not getting to how we can be of service.

At these times, we can find joy and reward in the combination of opposites, not the exclusion of them. Kindness done from a pure place is unconditional and creates a connection, leading to a feeling of wholeness. True acts of kindness can lead us to fulfilment and unity with ourselves and our surrounding environment.

Ultimately, it’s important to pay attention and be honest with ourselves, in order to learn more about ourselves and how our actions affect others. These are difficult yet necessary steps to take that can ultimately lead to a sense of unity, wholeness, and fulfilment.
